Who we are

What data and why
Enquiry form. When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, email address, preferred arrival and departure date, number of guests, extra requests and your message. We use these to answer your enquiry and arrange a possible booking.
Booking. If you book with us, we also keep what is needed for the rental agreement and payment, such as your invoice details and the account number to which we refund the deposit.
Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we keep your first name, email address and the period in which you would like to come. We then send you updates about the build, availability and rates.
Contact by email, WhatsApp or social media. If you contact us this way, we only use what you send us to reply to you.
Website visits. With your consent, we measure how the website is used (see article 6).
Why we are allowed to do this
We process your enquiry and booking because this is necessary to conclude and carry out a rental agreement with you. For the waitlist and the website statistics, we ask for your consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time. For our accounts, we are legally required to keep certain data.
How long we keep data
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted no later than 12 months after our last contact. We keep booking and invoice data for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires. Waitlist data is kept until you unsubscribe or the waitlist is no longer needed.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We work with a few service providers who process data for us and must handle it with care:
• TransIP (Netherlands): hosting of the website and our email
• MailerLite (Lithuania, EU): sending the waitlist emails
• Google (Ireland): website statistics via Google Analytics, only with your consent
• CookieYes (United Kingdom): remembering your cookie choice
If you contact us via WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, Meta processes those messages under its own privacy policy.
Cookies and statistics
On your first visit, a cookie notice asks whether you allow statistics cookies. Google Analytics only places cookies if you agree. Your IP address is shortened, so it cannot be traced back to you. The website also remembers your language choice in your own browser, without personal data. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so your browser does not connect to Google for them. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie notice or by clearing the cookies in your browser.
Data outside Europe
Google may process data in the United States. Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which makes this permitted under European rules.
Security
The website uses a secure connection (https). The enquiry form stores nothing on the website: your enquiry goes straight to our mailbox. Only we, Marc and Geja, have access to your data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to its use, have its use restricted or request your data in a file. You can unsubscribe from the waitlist with one click at the bottom of every email. Send your request to info@villamondicuracao.nl. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
Not happy with how we handle your data? Let us know first, and we will look for a solution together. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Changes
We update this privacy policy when our way of working changes, for example when we start using a booking system. The date below shows when the text was last updated.
